The “Solidarity Together” program is a 10-month initiative focused on the socialization and integration of individuals with limited opportunities, those at risk, and the socially isolated. Through art therapy, participants express themselves and build community ties. Public events like exhibitions and performances raise awareness of the challenges faced by these groups and foster empathy. Workshops in communication, leadership, and well-being empower participants with essential skills and support mental health. Volunteers provide mentorship, and eco-focused projects enhance community responsibility, creating a more inclusive, resilient local society.

Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in shared apartments or dorms with basic amenities like a kitchen, bathroom, laundry, and internet, close to the city center and project sites. Rooms are shared, encouraging interaction and cultural exchange. Meals: A monthly food budget allows volunteers to prepare meals in shared kitchens. The organization will recommend local stores and markets and occasionally organize group dinners to foster team bonding. Transport: Travel costs to Sofia are covered based on distance,. Local transport is provided via monthly public transit passes

Workshops on leadership, project management, and digital tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop) will further enhance skills. 4. Wrap-Up: Participants receive a Youthpass certificate documenting their competencies

General Overview The ideal participant is a motivated, adaptable, and community-focused individual interested in contributing positively to environmental and cultural projects. Candidates should be ready to engage with a multicultural team and embrace immersive, on-ground activities aimed at fostering community solidarity and environmental sustainability. Eligibility and Key Requirements Age: 18-30 years Nationality: Open to both Bulgarian residents and international participants within the EU and other ESC-eligible countries. Background: Previous experience in volunteering, cultural, or ecological projects is advantageous but not required. A strong interest in environmental issues, community development, and intercultural exchange. Essential Skills and Qualities Communication Skills: Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with diverse groups, including local youth and community members. Cultural Sensitivity: Open-minded and willing to understand local customs and cultural dynamics. Adaptability: Comfortable with flexible working hours, diverse activities, and occasional outdoor or physical tasks. Language: Basic knowledge of English is recommended; interest in learning Bulgarian is encouraged, with language support provided. Roles and Responsibilities Participants will: Contribute to environmental awareness campaigns, such as tree planting and recycling workshops. Assist with organizing cultural exchange programs and youth workshops. Support local institutions in conducting art and educational activities aimed at social inclusion. Support and Resources Pre-Departure Orientation: Covering task-related, intercultural, and linguistic preparation. Accommodation and Meals: Fully provided throughout the volunteering period. Monthly Pocket Money: Participants will receive €7 per day for incidental expenses. Language Learning Support: Bulgarian language lessons available to enhance community interaction. Mentorship: Each participant is assigned a mentor for guidance and support throughout the project. This profile ensures participants are fully prepared and supported to make a meaningful impact while gaining invaluable skills and experiences.
