The mission of the Youth Initiative Centre (YIC) is to foster the development of young individuals into competitive, proactive, and responsible citizens. A key strategic focus of YIC is to promote volunteering and enhance the capacity of organizations to work on volunteer-driven projects and community development. YIC seeks to host a volunteer with experience in project development, fundraising, and M&E (Monitoring & Evaluation). The volunteer will work as part of YIC’s core team, primarily based in the main office, with occasional visits to YIC’s youth centers in the Shirak, Armavir, Gegharkunik, and Lori regions. The volunteer’s responsibilities include: assisting with the development of project management regulations and manuals; proposing a Monitoring and Evaluation system for YIC’s projects; and mapping fundraising sources and creating a comprehensive database.

The volunteer will be hosted in Gyumri, the second largest city of Armenia. YIC ensures adequate living and working standards for the volunteer. And the financial support provided to the volunteer in the framework of the project is enough for the volunteer to lead a decent life in the hosting community. YIC will provide volunteers with safe and secure sufficient working conditions.This will include a separate workstation at YIC’s office in Gyumri (with a desk, storage space and computer), access to wifi, etc. Housing in appartment is covered by the project, single room, all facilities.

Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months. Would be appreciated: - Master degree in Project Management or other relevant field - Work experience in project management and administrative sector - Knowledge in Fundraising sector The minimum requirements for the volunteer are: - Adaptability - Flexibility - English: speaking and writing - Competences in delivering trainings - Ability to work with youth and adolescents - Willingness to learn and live in a different culture.
