Circus Schatzinsel' is a social circus for children and young people in Berlin Kreuzberg under the head of Vuesch gGmbH. The circus works according to the 'New Circus' style and focuses on the socio-pedagogical aspects of circus education. Tasks would include: working in the craft area (stage design, tailoring and costume design), as well as in the supervision of the children and young people in the artistic training. The volunteer will be involved in the program development, rehearsals and performances, in assisting as a co-trainer in workshops and in th organisation of holiday workshops and holiday trips.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
The project is part of a bigger project coordinated by the German volunteering organisation "ijgd" with all together 18-20 volunteers in different social projects in Berlin. The European volunteers live in different shared flats together (everyone has an own room, kitchen and bathroom will be shared). So there is a group of European Volunteers in different social projects. It also includes the travel budget to and from Berlin, free public transport in Berlin and Brandenburg, language course, etc.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
The training during the voluntary service includes 2 ESC seminars (organised by the German National Agency), meetings with the fellow volunteers, workshops, etc. and Seminars with ijgd to get to know the volunteer group, ijgd and life in Berlin.
Dalībnieka profils
We are looking for a person with Circus Experience. Good contact with little kids, care, sensitive, creativ. Well in a team in a lively athmosphere. Reliable, teamplayer, communicative - Great: some German knowledge, real motivation to learn German. Motivated to live in a flat with other European Volunteers. Interested in Berlin/Germany/Culture.
