Opis
The hosting organization is a municipal youth center aimed to provide a safe and inclusive environment supporting development, creativity and identity of youngsters, to enable them to engage in the society in an active and useful way during their free time, and to accompany them towards a responsible citizenship. The youth center uses the "open youth work" principle: it welcomes every young person, without placing preconditions for their beliefs, abilities, skills, knowledge and financial possibilities. In addition to the central headquarters, the institution also has various peripheral offices. Are you a creative person with lots of ideas and ready to bring them to life, maybe through music or art workshops? Join this project and unleash your personality through non-formal activities! This youth center is also an Eurodesk point, so you'll expand your knowledge about European programs, promoting your own E.S.C. experience with local youngsters, and giving them information about.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
You will have a free accomodation in Jõgeva. Your travel expenses from Italy to Estonia will be fully reimbursed. You will also be entitled to a public transport pass if you need to get them to work. You will receive pocket money (5 euros per day) and a food allowance (6 euros per day). You’ll be also covered by the insurance agreed with the European Solidarity Corps, protecting you from any possible risk.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
You will attend a pre-departure training before leaving Italy, and on arrival and mid-term trainings provided by the Estonian National Agency. You’ll be offered Estonian online course, and English optional online course. It is also possible for you to participate in gatherings and other non-formal meetings of the other volunteers working in Estonia. The eleven employees of the youth center will support you both about task-related matters and at a personal level: more, they will help you to get part in the daily life of the hosting organization through regular meetings.
Profil udeleženca
Do you already have experience of working with children, and a good level of English? You must be ready to take initiatives to contribute to the activities of the youth center. You must be sociable, proactive, open-minded, tolerant, creative and self-reliant. You are very welcomed if you have some competences in artistic expression and music field. More, you must be interested in spreading the European values and programs to local youngsters, communicating about your own experience.
