The concept of the “BuchKindergarten” is based on many years of cultural and pedagogical experiences with ”book-work”. The children from different kindergarten groups including nursery are visiting once a week a Booksworkshop, a special room for producing small books out of paintings. The role of volunteer to support the children in the process of creating small books out of their paintings, writing down their small stories connected to the paintings, dry them and collect and prepare the room for next workshops. There is also a books swap shelf on the wall of the kindergarten that the volunteer can take of: sorting the books. During the year there a few events where Bookskindergarten present their workshops to the audience and also sell their production like posters, calenders. The volunteer will work together with two educators 30 h/week. The kindergarten is located in lively alternative but families friendly neigbourhood of Leipzig. The volunteer needs already at least B1 of German.
Logi, mat och transporter
All the volunteers live in shared flats, have their own room but share kitchen and bathroom with 3 other volunteers. The flat is equipped with everything needed. Food and pocket money plus money to buy the local transportation monthly ticket will be paid out to you (558 Euro per month all together) or you just buy a bike and sell it at the end of the project. Leipzig is a very nice city to ride a bike. The German bank account can be opened for you. If you wish we can as well try to organize a host family. Utbildning under verksamheten
We will help you find a German language course which fits your needs. The budget for a German course is 300 Euro. You will also have access to the Online Language Course platform EU Academy. You will attend two seminars organised by the National Agency. The process of learning and personal development will be reflected with your personal mentor and tutor.
