6-month volunteering. The main objective of the organization is focused on the fight against desertification through specific projects such as: - The right to sustainable development - Environmental education and development of international cooperation - The creation of argan and carob forests. Tasks of the volunteers: 1. Expansion of the covered area of the nursery + installation of an irrigation system for the cuttings 2. Grafting of carob seedlings 3. Preparation of fruit tree seedlings (pomegranates, olive trees, quince trees, fig trees...) 4. Maintenance and fertilization of fruit trees in the nursery 5. Spanish conversation workshops and ecological awareness for children of the Oasis 6. Training workshops organized by the association 7. Preparation of organic compost and pesticides 8. Other nursery actions 9. Maintenance of social networks and development of reports
Logi, mad og transport
The activity will take place in Oumifiss, 10 km from Guelmim, the capital of the same name province. Participants will stay in a house prepared for Oumifiss volunteers with double, triple or quadruple rooms, a common living room, bathroom and terrace La actividad se desarrollará en Oumifiss que se encuentra a 10 km de Guelmim, capital de la provincia que lleva su nombre. La ubicación, aunque algo aislada, está rodeada de maravillosas playas. Los participantes se alojarán en una casa en Oumifiss con habitaciones dobles, triples o cuádruples, salón común, baño y terraza.
Oplæring under aktiviteten
Participants will receive pre-departure training and ongoing training on the activities they will undertake upon arrival. The sending organisation will be in touch with participants throughout the period. On-arrival training and middle evaluation will be provided by SALTO Los participantes recibirán formación antes de la salida y formación continuada relativa a las actividades que realizarán, desde su llegada. Deltagerens profil
Buscamos dos personas que tengan ganas de vivir una experiencia en el desierto. Deben ser personas proactiva y que le interese mucho el medioambiente ya que todas las tareas están enfocadas a ese área. Las personas que presenten candidatura deben ser tolerantes con otras culturas y religiones y hablar bien inglés o francés. We are looking for two people who are keen to live an experience in the desert. They must be proactive and very interested in the environment, as all tasks are focused on that area. Applicants must be tolerant of other cultures and religions and speak English or French well.
