Audiovisual Cultural Content Creation - Volunteering in Italy

CRHACK LAB Foligno 4D is a volunteer organization based in Foligno, halfway between Rome and Tuscany, at the heart of the green Umbria. We use our local artistic and cultural heritage to create digital immersive experiences, through which young people can acquire today the digital skills they will need in their professional and adult lives of tomorrow. And we do this with youth from all over the world, through our European projects and international events.

We are looking for a volunteer to work with us over the course of 12 months. The volunteer will be producing quality photos and videos of historical costume events, artworks and sites of Umbria's cultural heritage to create content for our educational games, AR and VR experiences. They will also document conferences on art and digital technologies as tools for inclusion, contributing to our organization’s dissemination activities.

Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz

We are located in Foligno, in the heart of Umbria in central Italy. We can offer accommodation arrangements and will support the volunteer in their transfer to and from our offices, as well as cover any transfers necessary within their line of work. The volunteer receives funding for their basic costs from the European Solidarity Corps program, as well as insurance and language learning support.

Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo

During their stay, the volunteer will refine their photography & videography skills by working as part of a production team focused on AR/VR educational games and experiences on cultural heritage, that we develop as part of our local and international projects. They will also interact with local organizations, museums and cultural institutions, experiencing first-hand the Italian and Umbrian culture. The volunteer will develop creative thinking and organizational skills, surrounded by a positive creative environment that will offer a constant flow of knowledge and competences.

Profil udeleženca

Our ideal volunteer is an organized, focused person, able to work independently as well as in support to others. We are looking for someone with photography and videography skills, as well as editing skills. Any previous experience in filming cultural heritage events and sites will be favored. We will also appreciate basic social media management skills. We require proficiency in English (C1) and will greatly prefer a sufficient knowledge of spoken Italian (B2).
