Beskrivning
We are looking for 1 volunteer for the kindergarten which is a new hosting organisation. It's placed in Krakow with very good public transport connection. People working there have already experience in cooperation with ESC volunteers. Volunteer's tasks will be to support teachers and to encourage children to learn languages and communicate with foreigners. Volunteers will assist children during everyday activities, playing in the garden or trips outside. They will also organise some activities for children based on their own ideas. Volunteers will be a part of bigger international team of volunteers hosted by Internationaler Bund Polska. They will have also additional meetings and workshops based on mental health and well-being and art. We would like to start on the 1st of December but this is a floating date. Logi, mat och transporter
All volunteers will stay in the flats rented by Internationaler Bund Polska especially for our ESC volunteers. We have usually 2-beds rooms with spacious kitchen and bathroom. Volunteers receive pocket money and food allowance every month. Volunteers get monthly card which allow them to use public transportation (buses and trams) inside the city as well as outside if they work in one of the schools nearby Krakow
Utbildning under verksamheten
Before arriving to Poland each volunteer should be prepared for the project by his/her sending organisation. This pre-departure training is obligatory part of preparation. After comming to Poland all volunteers are involved in workshops about communicartion, ICL and Polish culture and history. There are also 2 obligatory trainings provided by Polish National Agency: on-arrival training in first weeks of the project and mid-term evaluation in the middle. All volunteers meet regularly each month. There is also a space for trainings proposed by volunteers
Deltagarens profil
We are not looking for volunteers with a particular skills or educational level, sex or religion. We need volunteers who are motivated to work with children and contribute to the local community and ready to share their culture and experiences with others. Each volunteer is a part of bigger international group of people from different countries, so it’s important to be open-minded and tolerant towards countries and cultures. That’s what is the other core of our projects, too!
