Telšiai City Social Services Centre welcomes you to join us to volunteer. Telšiai City Social Services Centre is an institution that provides support and assistance to various social groups (children, elderly, persons with disabilities, families facing challenges, and homeless people). The aim of the institution: The aim of the institution: is to provide quality services to the residents of Telšiai district, ensuring their well-being and dignity. Moreover, increasing independence and supports them to seek positive change in life. Volunteers will assist social workers in organizing activities for children who participate in Day Centre, the elderly, and homeless shelters. Furthermore, they will develop children's creativity, independence, and social skills. Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The living place will be in a dormitory. At the dormitory, volunteers will live in separate private rooms and will have their own space. As well will have free use of a shared fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and hygiene room. A project will cover costs like accommodation, food, travel, and living expenses of the volunteer. Henner insures volunteers all project time. The volunteer is going to be paid pocket and food money at the end of each month.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Before coming he/she will have the pre-departure session in this country and when come to Lithuania will have an on-arrival and mid-term training. Training will be about volunteering experience and Youthpass certificate. In Telšiai City Social Services Centre, volunteer can learn about Lithuanian culture and traditions, know how to organize and implement activities for youth people with disabilities, have a clearer idea of what they want to do in the future, and realize volunteer in different activities.
Profil udeleženca
All people 18-30 years old interested and motivated in working with fewer opportunities people, interested in intercultural learning (are open to new cultures and are willing to learn from their participation), patient and responsible, like to help create and implement projects, initiatives, and activities for fewer opportunities people.
