Opis
We are looking for motivated young volunteers that will be working in one of kindergartens located in Gdańsk that we cooperate with and support them on a daily basis. We will tailor your tasks to your abilities and you can bring your own ideas, projects and activities. Your main tasks will be supporting teachers and nannies to prepare activities, decorations, assisting during the trips and additional activities. Also, it's important for us that you share with our pupils your country's culture –cuisine, history, language- using different creative, non-formal learning methods, conduct games and animations. Each volunteer's schedule is prepared individually together with the coordinator from the kindergarten. You can be active in areas corresponding to your hobbies and interests. At the same time, be flexible to follow the kindergarten daily educational and recreational activities. Previous experience in working with kids would be much appreciated, but not necessary.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
You will leave in a shared apartment together with other international volunteers, shared 2 volunteers in the room. The flat is equipped with the most necessary things. You will receive a monthly city card for buses and trams, to travel from home to kindergarten. We will provide You with the pocket money, food allowance and reimbursement of travel to/from Gdańsk (due to Erasmus distance calculator). Kindergartens are located in different districts in the city.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Before coming, volunteer will receive support in preparation and Pre-departure training from supporting organization (home country organization). After arriving, volunteer will have support of kindergarten stuff to be introduced into the activities of the kindergarten. During the project, volunteer can take part in 2 training sessions (depends on the duration of mobility): 1. ON ARRIVAL - to find out more about volunteering in Poland 2. MID TERM - to evaluate achievements There will be organized evaluation meetings each 1-2 month in the office of RCWG.
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for positive, motivated and smiley young people who can bring joy to little kids by activities related to culture, sports, arts and crafts. Someone cheerful and trustworthy with an open mind and an open heart, who is passionate about working with kids, helping them and developing their skills. We want You to show sympathy for children and be willing to cooperate in various sectors. As volunteer will support kindergarten we are looking for candidates without criminal records and addictions. Due to Polish Law volunteer will need to have certificate of no criminal record from his National Criminal Register.
