Wymiennikownia operates as part of the Social Innovation Laboratory in Gdynia, a budgetary unit of the City of Gdynia. Wymiennikownia is the Youth Center for Social Innovation and Design. This is a place for all people aged 13-35. It is a space for young people to connect and explore their interests in a welcoming and supportive environment, where they can take part in various events or just come and have a nice time. In Wymiennikownia, participants have a real impact on its functioning, they decide what classes they want to take part in or organize them themselves. All the services are free of charge. You will work as an assistant to the animator, whose task it to support youth in their development, exchange ideas, motivate youth to active citizenship and to help young people to develop their passions. Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
Volunteer will be provided with monthly Pocket money and tickets for buses in Gdynia to go to work. Volunteer will share a room with 2-3 other volunteers in a rented flat. Gdynia ESC volunteers live in a few flats in different districts of the city and work in more than 10 different locations (libraries, NGOs, neighbourhood centres etc). Together with their mentors (local volunteers) they create a large, international and lively community of around 35 young people.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Volunteer is obliged to participate in training provided by National Agency (On-arrival training and Mid-term training) as well as trainings run and and organized by supporting organization.
Profil udeleženca
We search for a volunteer who is empathetic, ready to act, open for a new experience and for the people, ready to learn and to grow. A volunteer must be a person who understands the needs of youth and wants to do something with and for them. Being creative and open-minded is crucial. The candidate should be well organized, deliver work on time and like to work in a team. We are searching for people who are creative, able to work independently, are motivated to learn and share their ideas and experiences.
