Volunteering team Youth4Ukraine - Timisoara

Alianza-ActionAid Spain and FITT are looking for a team of young people to improve the assistance of Ukrainian refugees from a gender perspective, join us at the headquarters of FITT in Timisoara! You will have the opportunity to work in an international team with Ukrainian refugees, especially women and children. Some of the activities you will involve accompanying, educational and artistic group tasks, among others, to reinforce the gender approach in the interventions, as well as delivering workshops on the topics of your interest with a gender perspective to the local community, etc. Volunteers will work in a team of 10 people for 2 months. At the end of your experience, you will be able to implement activities form a gender perspective, work in an international team and implement your own ideas! If you are migrant, refugee, if you live in rural areas, if you have limited economic support or any other context don´t hesitate to sign up, this opportunity is for everyone!

Logi, mad og transport

You will be accommodated in our cosy Youth House. The meals will be volunteers’ responsibility: you will have a shared kitchen and receive monthly money dedicated to this. You will also receive a monthly pocket money allowance for personal expenses (5 EUR/day). Also, you will receive pocket money too (4 EUR/day). You will benefit also from health insurance (Henner). Volunteers will be picked up at the airport by someone from FITT staff and they will be given subscriptions to public transport in Timișoara.

Oplæring under aktiviteten

Volunteers will receive a pre-departure training in Madrid organised by Alianza in Madrid on aspects such as: welcome to ESC, responsibilities, YouthPass, Henner insurance, motivation, feminist principles, etc. Afterwards, volunteers will assist to an on-arrival training, organised by FITT on the reality of Timisoara, the specifics of the work, the schedules, the rights and obligations and the team. Additional trainings will be provided on facilitation, marketing or logistic/events production.The volunteer will have free access to online language training (OLS).

Deltagerens profil

We are looking for motivated people interested in working with people with refugee backgrounds. Motivation to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment and to strengthen values such as solidarity. Interest and eager to implement your ideas into actions, take responsibility, proactive and communicative. It is great if you have some knowledge or skills that could be used to implement educational courses. This could be knowledge in soft skills, art, entrepreneurship, life skills or anything else that could be interesting for the target audience. Basic knowledge of English is required.
