Description: Asociación Mojo de Caña was founded in 2001 in Santa Brigida, Gran Canaria. The association is made up of people passionate about activism, dedicated to social development and inclusion through arts, non-formal education, and human rights-based education as tools for social change. Our headquarters are in Gran Canaria, with additional offices in La Palma, Tenerife, Madrid, and Córdoba. We are currently looking for 1 volunteer for our Tenerife Office: Your tasks will include: Organizing recreational, non-formal educational, and sports activities for children from vulnerable backgrounds. Collaborating with elderly people in social activities, workshops, and outdoor trips. Promoting healthy habits and values with teenagers and supporting educators. Assisting with office tasks: managing emails, social media, creating digital content using tools like Canva, and promoting ESC projects. Participating in local events and activities on the island.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will have a private room in a shared flat in Santa Cruz de Tenerife or La Laguna, with common areas shared with other young people. Monthly allowance: 380€ (pocket + food money) Public transportation card included. Travel costs (to/from Tenerife) reimbursed based on Erasmus+ guidelines. Training during the activity: Pre-departure Training: Provided by your sending organization to prepare you for the project. Arrival Training: Organized by Mojo de Caña to introduce you to the local community, activities, and context. National Agency Training: arrival and mid-term training
Profil udeleženca
Participant Profile: Aged between 18-30 years. Resident of the EU or a country within the ESC Programme (check the EU Youth Portal or contact us for details). Dynamic, creative, outgoing, and interested in social work and youth projects. Comfortable working with people of all ages. Basic Spanish skills are preferred to facilitate interaction with locals.
