Our premises host concerts and parties, information events, workshops, reading circles, a skate park and much more. Decisions on the content are made by consensus in the Conne Island's Monday public plenary sessions. Not only the permanent staff, but also the volunteers and people who are interested in the development of Conne Island take part in this plenary session. Conne Island has a left-wing orientation and relies heavily on the voluntary commitment of its visitors. It also offers plenty of space for your own project ideas. You will be mainly involved in the event management and in setting up the technology for the events, like the live mixing. You will also learn how to use the professional sound equipment.

The volunteer lives in a single-bed room in a flat share with other volunteers in Leipzig. In the shared flat, residents must take care of the cleaning of the flat. During the ESC: the volunteer receives a basic language training (no official language course), also other training needed to carry out agreed tasks and the volunteer attend the On-Arrival training and Mid-term seminar offered by the NA. In addition, there will be realised several project days towards topics of solidarity in Europe / participation / social projects for all ESC volunteers.
