We are searching for 1 volunteer for the APPROVED project in the after school care center “Schulplatz 1". The volunteer will get familiar with the "on the move and health oriented" educational method of the after school care center by supporting pedagogues in their daily activities. Sport, movement and healthy lifestyle are the key words in the work at the school care center. The volunteer will help the pedagogues with "on the move exercises", will communicate with children and lead them to a healthier lifestyle. Furthermore, the volunteer will have the opportunity to organize his/her own cultural or linguistic projects. Main project activities: - Look after 6 to 12 year-old- children - Plan and implement movement oriented offers (aged-based movement exercises/ sport activities) - Plan and implement thematic workshops (handicrafts, music, sustainability) - Organize festivities and/or excursions - Plan intercultural activities (about his/her own country, language, culinary culture).
Logi, mad og transport
Accommodation: The volunteer will live in one of our 3 ESC volunteer accommodations in Potsdam. Each volunteer has his/her own room in a well-furnished and fully equipped flat. A monthly food allowance of 313,00 € will be provided via bank transfer. Monthly pocket money of 210,00 € will be provided via bank transfer. Local Transport: A monthly travel card to use public transport within Germany (Deutschlandticket) will be made available to the volunteer. The volunteer will also receive a bike.
Oplæring under aktiviteten
Our organization offers the volunteer the possibility to take part in a language course, according to his/her current level of German. All participants must take part in two mandatory ESC seminars during their project: On-Arrival and Mid-Term Training. These are opportunities to meet volunteers from other countries, understand the EU values and reflect on the ongoing project.
