Deltagarens profil
The set of activities proposed focuses on responding to the problems of mental health, low self-esteem and low centrality of self-care and collective care in the lives of women, especially those who have experienced some type of sexual, physical or psychological violence. The proposal is based on the participatory diagnosis carried out, which indicates that the lack of adequate attention to women's mental health is common and naturalised, which is aggravated by exclusionary structures that deteriorate the social fabric, privatise common goods, generate socio-environmental conflicts that increase women's discomfort and isolation. Likewise, the Peruvian health system's approach to mental health does not take these elements into account, as it is not culturally adapted to the needs of indigenous and native peoples and does not adequately consider community and gender approaches. The volunteer will support the actions from a communication and technical support point of view: Attention to the emotional health of women (rural women defenders, urban feminists, survivors of violence and LBTIQ+ people) from processes of healing and community care. They seek to raise awareness through communication actions aimed at reflection, recognition, affirmation and awareness-raising. - Professional in psychology - Knowledge of gender and intersectional approaches. - Experience or interest in feminist activism. - Ideally experience in applying the gender and intersectional approach. - Fluent in spoken and written Spanish. - Ideally experience in the analysis and synthesis of information. - Previous experience as a volunteer. - Ability to work in a team - Social sensitivity and empathy. - Ability to synthesise and write. - Organisational skills. - Ideally with knowledge of the Peruvian or Latin American context.
