The project “International Youth Camp Volunteers - Freizeit gestalten” is a volunteering team project that aims to gather 15 young people from different countries to help create activties for an international summer camp for teenagers. By doing so they will create also a peaceful and respectful space for their personal and professional development. Our participants are aimed to create educational and practical workshops and activities for the young people in the summer camp in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. Additionally other activities for children and young people will be supported. The summer camp is a space for having fun, learn new things, get new skills and be taught of tolerance and solidarity. We will do our best to give to give our volunteers a great space for creating and turning into reality their own wishes and initiatives which are familiar with the aims of our project as well as with the aims and principles of the European Solidarity Corps.

The activity will take place in two phases. During the first phase, the accommodation will be rented close to the city center. The accommodation will probably be in flats with several rooms, that you will share. You might be asked to bring your sleeping bag and isolation sheet, if that is possible and available for you. Special needs can be respected. The volunteers will prepare their meals together. During the second phase you will stay at the location of the summer camp, where you will also receive prepared meals. You will will be fully involved in the camp. Local transport will be covered.

There will be an introduction training at the beginning of the activity that will include team building, introduction to the tasks as well as introduction to measures regarding the safety and security. Further the group will be guided to develop their own workshops and get an introduction to the content.

We are looking for volunteers that are willing to work in a team, interested to learn about international youth work, prepare their own workshops for young people and can interact with other people. English, German or Polish language knowledge can be helpful. Volunteers should be interested to get some new organisational skills and be very flexible and motivated to implement the planned activities.
