The volunteer at the children’s and youth service of Lamballe Terre & Mer will help the teams with their activities. The day-to-day work takes place in the offices of the Youth Information Structure. It is a structure to support young people aged 11 to 30 with various subjects. The volunteer will also be working with child and youth care teams, a network of structures where activities are organized outside class hours. Many of the activities carried out by volunteers will be related to European culture, as well as international mobility (e.g. Organising and participating in events about the European Union / European and international mobility; creation of games and presentations related to citizenship education, solidarity and international mobility; Sharing the experience of volunteering with young people and encourage mobility; Participating in the creation and organization of a short-term European project, youth exchange)
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will live in a shared apartment close to the office. The apartment has a kitchen-living room, two bedrooms (one for the volunteer, one for another young person), a bathroom and a toilet. It is well equipped. In addition, they will receive a monthly allowance for food, as well as pocket money for free time activities (in total about 500€ per month). A bicycle is provided for movement in the city. In addition, a transport card will be provided (SNCF Carte Avantage Jeune) which will allow volunteers to purchase local and regional train tickets at a reduced rate.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
The volunteer will participate in the two seminars organised by the French Erasmus+ agency. Furthermore they will participate in the monthly collective project meetings during which they will be working on a project together with other volunteers from the region.
Profil udeleženca
We are searching for young people who are motivated, curious, dynamic and autonome. Furthermore they should have a positive attitude towards teamwork and working with children and youth. They should also be interested in promoting interculturality, European citizenship and international mobility to children and young people in a rural environment. The volunteer has to be prepared and motivated to live in a rural and exclusive francophone environment. A basic level of French or / and English is appreciated, but not the most important criterium. That means that the team will help you and the tasks are adapted to your language level. Specific interests (technology, environment, culture, sports etc.) and initiatives are welcome and appreciated. We are more then happy to help you with developping and implementing projects about your interests for the children and youth. Even though we are searching for volunteers from Spain, Portugal, Germany, Belgium and Italy we are also open to applicants from other countries.
