The volunteer will assist in the technical/financial monitoring of the projects/programmes assigned through support in the formulation, implementation, reporting and justification, reporting to key actors (country coordinators, grassroots coordinators, project/programme coordinators and other actors/donors) based on their initial formulation, MdM's strategic documents and in accordance with the justification rules and regulations of each grant to obtain clear and concise information on the life of the project/programme and the results and objectives achieved. The taks of the volunteer will be: Support in the achievement of results and objectives of all projects in which it is involved in the country; Contribute to the annual planning of projects/programmes in line with the organisation's annual operational planning and country strategy; Participate in the identification and formulation of projects/programmes; Contribute to the elaboration, improvement, planning of activities.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will be based in Guatemala with travel within the country. He/she will be under the responsibility of the Regional Coordination for Central America of MdM and will be part of the MdM Guatemala team. Living conditions in Guatemala are comfortable. All basic services and recreational facilities are easily accessible. The volunteer will be accommodated in one of the office houses of MdM and will receive a monthly allowance to cover his/her food expenses of 791EUR. Accommodation, return flights, visa and vaccination costs, basic equipment (laptop and mobile phone) will be provided.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Volunteers will improve their professional knowledge through training in humanitarian action, and specific issues on security, gender, psychosocial support and will be provided with training resources to continue their learning. Those selected will receive briefings/training at MdM headquarters in Madrid with the different departments related to the mission and the position, as well as mandatory online training on environmental issues before they start their field work. Training sessions will take place both in the countries of the support and host organisations.

Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
