Opis
Youth for community is a volunteering team under „Youth for Diversity and Inclusion” and aims to contribute to the creation of an inclusive community with focus on respecting human rights, creation of a community where all citizens respect each other, have equal chances and opportunities. Volunteers will support the physical development of youth facilities of the future youth center “Horizons.” Their primary tasks will involve engaging in physical development and arrangement of the space, which includes assembling, organizing, and maintaining facilities, planting trees, arranging green spaces. Additionally, they will participate in preparation of materials for thematic workshops supporting facilitators who coordinate youth activities.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteers will be accommodated in Târgoviște, in shared rooms with 3–4 volunteers per room (non-smoking). The accommodation includes two shared bathrooms inside the facility and two additional bathrooms outside. A common kitchen is available for use, equipped with a fridge, microwave, and stove. Volunteers will receive a daily allowance of €5 for food and basic necessities, along with €4 per day as pocket money. Travel expenses to and from Romania will be reimbursed in accordance with the travel documents provided and the program’s official guidelines.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Volunteers will attend a pre-departure training before leaving and will be instructed for the activities during the project. Under the guidance of the volunteer coordinator, the volunteers will set learning goals and will learn how to deal with tasks related to the development of activity.
Profil udeleženca
Volunteers should be aged between 18-29. The project is focused only on participants with fewer opportunities, who will benefit from additional support according to the ESC programme. Requirements: interest in community events, motivation to develop organizational skills, good communication skills, minimum B2 English level, photo-video and team work skills. Volunteers must be flexible, responsible, positive and energetic as they will be part of an international team and will work with smaller and rural communities.
