"Learn, grow and explore" is a new project by the Regional Volunteer Centre. It offers participants insight into the work of a local volunteer center in Gdansk, Poland and invites them to co-create activities. Volunteers collaborate with students and youth, sharing idea of volunteering. They design and lead presentations, aiming to raise awareness about volunteering opportunities in different countries and share experience among Polish youth. The project includes preparation and participation in events linked to Gdańsk Volunteer Week. In the final phase, volunteers support the Tram to volunteering, Parade of volunteers 2025, Fair of ESC opportunities, ets. Taks: - Support the Gdańsk Volunteer Week - Conduct presentations in schools and universities about volunteering - Promote idea of volunteering as a civil activation of young people
Logi, mad og transport
The transport to/from Gdańsk will be covered according to ESC guidelines. During you stay in Gdansk you will be accommodated in a dormitory or rented flat which you will share with another volunteers. You will receive pocket money: 6 euro per day + money for food. You'll be covered by additional health insurance during your time as a volunteer. You will also receive a volunteer pass to cover transport within the city. Our office is located in the city center with good public transportation connections. Please notice: duration of the project is 3 weeks, not shorter.
Oplæring under aktiviteten
Training activities: - Ice-breaking and team-building sessions - Practical training on how to design and deliver presentation - Introduction to the Youthpass certificate, focusing on the development of eight key competences
Deltagerens profil
- experienced in local volunteering in his/her county and ready to share own experience with others; - ready to participate in volunteering project in whole period od project (21 days + travel); - speaks communicatively English, at least B1; - ready to obtain Criminal Records Certificate.
