Offer opportunities for volunteers across the EU to positively impact refugee populations through support and activities at refugee settings in greater Athens Volunteers will participate in CHEERing Grow Clinics, support refugee visits to dental clinics, perform screenings in public health and related activities, help make referrals to vaccination programs, work on distribution of hygiene and fundamental distribution items, and offer support in group activities such as football, swimming lessons, and excursions.
Logi, mad og transport
Per ESC requirements, the volunteers will either stay in CHEERing accommodation or their accommodation will be supported. They will receive the required pocket money, an allowance for food, and their transportation in program-related activities will be covered.
Oplæring under aktiviteten
Volunteers will receive hands on and remote training. Please note that the program combines training from professional mentors and from senior volunteer team members, as well as from community members based on lived experience.
Deltagerens profil
Applicants should have a keen desire to work hard and to make a difference for populations suffering from forced migration. Ideally they have some experience in health, international policy or law, and working with underprivileged populations. Languages such as Farsi, Arabic, French, and Lingala are advantageous.
