We are looking for two enthusiastic volunteers (aged 18-30) to join our team from February to July 2026 in Brežice, Slovenia! As part of the European Solidarity Corps, you will work 30 hours per week supporting youth engagement and organizing activities in our Youth Center. Tasks include promoting volunteering, creating multimedia content, organizing events, and more. You will have the opportunity to develop your own projects while staying in Brežice’s Youth Hostel. Travel costs, accommodation, and a monthly allowance of €350-400 are covered. We will conduct online interviews with potential candidates starting in December. Selected candidates will also have the opportunity to visit Brežice for a preparatory visit in January.

Logi, mad og transport

You will be accommodated in Youth Hostel Brežice, which is a part of our Youth Center: https://www.mc-hostel.si/ Each month you will receive pocket money and money for food and local transports (between 350-400 EUR). Your travel costs will be reimbursed according to the applicable rates of the program and the Erasmus+ distance calculator. We encourage green travel!

Oplæring under aktiviteten

Throughout the volunteer experience, you will receive comprehensive support and training to ensure your personal and professional development. The training will cover a variety of topics, including project management, youth work methodologies, and intercultural communication. You will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops and seminars that focus on digital media, event organization, and sustainability. In addition, on-arrival and mid-term training sessions will be provided to help you adapt to your role, develop new skills, and reflect on your learning process.

Deltagerens profil

We are looking for motivated young individuals (aged 18-30) who are passionate about youth engagement, social inclusion, and sustainability. The ideal candidates should have an interest in working with young people and organizing activities that promote intercultural understanding, non-formal education, and environmental awareness. Candidates should possess strong communication skills to engage with local communities, be creative and enthusiastic about organizing activities for youth, and have an interest in digital media such as poster design and photography. Additionally, they should be motivated to promote volunteering and intercultural programs, and be willing to develop personal projects and collaborate with others. Experience in youth work, voluntary service, or event organization is desirable but not required. Familiarity with the themes of inclusion, diversity, environmental protection, and participation in democratic life is also a plus.
