The Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture Lorraine is a popular education association offering more than 70 activities (sports, dance, well-being, culture) accessible to everyone, whatever their interests, desires, or means. It is a true place for life and sharing, giving each person the opportunity to grow, open up to others, and carry out their projects in an environment based on freedom, tolerance, and mutual respect. In the early 1980s, building on its values and its social communication initiatives, a general-public and professional audiovisual department was created with several goals: leading projects that include, fully or partly, an audiovisual component, making MJC Lorraine a real resource center for local associations, especially for young people, and producing audiovisual content (reports, documentaries, web docs…) and other multimedia materials. Their productions are mainly educational, social, and solidarity-oriented.

Accommodation : Housing provided. Meals : The volunteer will receive €240 per month as a food allowance, as well as €240 of pocket money. Transport : The organisation will cover the volunteer’s monthly public transport pass for all travel within the Grand Nancy metropolitan area.

1 collective activity within our structure - Introduction to audiovisual tools: learning how to use a camera, microphone and lighting - Training in video editing: getting familiar with DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro - Mandatory training from the French National Agency (on-arrival and mid-term)

We are looking for a motivated, curious, and creative volunteer with a genuine interest in the audiovisual field. The volunteer must have a good knowledge of English or French (fluency in both languages is an asset). Some experience in content creation (video, photography, social media, or graphic design) and an interest in visual communication would be a benefit, but is not required. Main tasks : - Writing scripts on health, the environment, volunteering and openness to the world - Participating in the preparation, shooting and editing of videos - Filming with a camera (basic settings, framing, sound recording) - Be proactive in promoting the organisation's activities on social media and other communication
