The Mehrgenerationenhaus (multigenerational house) Johannesberg is a network of social institutions which includes an information pool for all generations. The Mehrgenerationenhaus has become a meeting place for everyone and enjoys a widespread acceptance within the community. With their diverse range of activities and projects, the Mehrgenerationenhaus offers support for people of all generations in the most diverse life circumstances. From looking after children in a flexible time band to offering various leisure activities, the Mehrgenerationenhaus also advises and supervises those who want to return to work. The Mehrgenerationenhaus advises and supports pensioners who actively want to shape their retirement and by doing so continue to be a part of society. Here the Mehrgenerationenhaus responds with offers that are shaped to the actual requirements.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will live in a fully furnished flat in Johannesberg. Internet access will be available. All the cost related to the accommodation will be supported by the hosting organisation. A monthly food allowance will be provided via bank transfer for the volunteer by the hosting organisation. Pocket money will be provided by coordinating organisation. The volunteer is provided with a bicycle and bus tickets (to commute to Aschaffenburg and all over Germany). The ticket will be organised by the hosting organsiation.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
The volunteer is eligible to receive linguistic support. The volunteer´s knowledge of the German language should be tested before his/her arrival. The results of the test is taken as a basis for the linguistic support given to the volunteer for his/her German language development. The volunteer will attend to ESC (informal)educational Seminars(two times) during the year.
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for a volunteer who is interested to work with different groups of people. Who will support the staff of the Mehrgenerationenhaus and Kinderhaus in various projects, e.g. “Offener Treff”, senior citizen get-together, crèche, nursery school and primary school and the library. The volunteer should be willing to spend a year in a small community of 4000 inhebitants in Johannesberg, which is well connected to the bigger city of Aschaffenburg(8 km away) and close to the bigger cities like Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg.
