Opis
AMPANS is a foundation in Catalonia (Spain), that works to accompany and support people with intellectual disabilities or in a vulnerability situation, in the development of their life project, guaranteeing their rights and the sustainability of AMPANS, with a clear desire for social transformation. AMPANS works to promote the education, quality of life and the job placement of the people with intellectual disability, mental illness or other people in risk of exclusion, creating and managing services, programs, supports and business activities with excellence criteria. We have integral services, attending people from the 3 years until the old age. The volunteers could do their services in daily services, or houses and residential services, giving an individual attention according to the characteristics, needs and wishes of the person. We consider a value the maintenance of the familiar bonds, for this reason we promote the participation in the assistance and educational process.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
There is a flat shared with other volunteers, with a maximum of 4 people at a time, in Manresa, a town near Barcelona (1 hour by car).

About the profile of persons with intellectual disabilities
Profil udeleženca
Volunteers must be people with interest and motivation towards people with intellectual disabilities. People who value social inclusion and respect for vulnerable people or those at risk of exclusion. People motivated and eager to learn and contribute, and willing to contribute their grain of sand to make a better world.
