Opis
Saint Nicolas Bishop Association works mainly with children and youth, but also with seniors and entire families. We are non-governmnal, catholic organization. Our regular activities include running the socio-therapeutic common-room, youth club and a senior club. Moreover, there are events and actions animating the local community: festivals and family events living in our district. Volunteer's role: Volunteers work as assistance to educators of children and in youth club. They assist in animating free time activities, help children in homeworks, run workshops of own idea for children, youth or seniors.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
Gdynia ESC volunteers live in a few flats in different districts of the city and work in more than 10 different locations (libraries, NGOs, neighbourhood centres etc). Together with their mentors (local volunteers) they create a large, international and lively community of around 35 young people. Volunteers will be provided pocket money for food and equivalent for local transportation in Gdynia.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Volunteers are obliged to participate in On-arrival and Mid-term trainings organized by National Agency.
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for a cheerful, patient volunteer who is determined to achieve the goal and respect our work style. It is welcome if the volunteer has a good command of English and is willing to learn Polish, which would help him/her a lot in his daily life and allow to become more involved in the life of the organization. Duration of the project is from 6-12 months. Candidates interested in taking part in voluntary service should fill in an application form before 8th of February.
