You will be involved in the co-creation of the program of the Pride Parade Festival 2026. This means you will be (physically) working together on supporting activities and events, from exhibitions, discussion, workshops, concerts, conferences and of course, the annual Pride Parade! ✺ Please have in mind that this really means SUPPORTIVE TASKS during the events. You’ll be working closely with our team and the other volunteers to ensure this year’s Festival runs smoothly by carrying out the following tasks: ✺ BEFORE THE FESTIVAL: preparing the logistics, decorations, technical elements, promoting activities, creating visuals, assembling groups and making the plans. ✺ DURING THE FESTIVAL: making sure all of the agreed things are happening. ✺ AFTER THE FESTIVAL: cleaning and organising, evaluation. The project includes: ・ Fully funded travel and accommodation; ・ Covered food expenses and pocket money; ・ Mentoring and Youthpass certificate; ・ Health insurance; Volunteers will be accommodated together, sharing rooms between 4-6 volunteers from the group. Volunteers are expected to arrange their own meals. The work will take place at the local youth center, our office, and different venues outside. There is a very simple public bike system available throughout Ljubljana.
Utbildning under verksamheten
At the start of the volunteering, we will organise an all day ON_ARRIVAL TRAINING for the whole group. During the training we will get to know each other a bit better, present the Festival program and the team, agree how we want to work together, present the ESC program and its elements – including the mentorship and the youth pass. In the first two weeks of the activity, you will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops for young people to get to know our organisation and its scope of work better. You will be able to participate in a city tour led by other LGBT+ volunteers.

Apply to join us, if ・ you’re an LGBTIQ+ young person OR you have a strong interest in LGBTIQ+ organisations, topics and politics, ・ you are between 18 and 30 years old, ・ you are a resident of the EU (including people from Slovenia) , ・ you’re sociable, fluent in English, enjoy working in a team and are not afraid to step out of your comfort zone, ・ you have not participated in European Solidarity Corps volunteering before, and/or you still can participate in a short-term ESC activity. Apply until 1st of March 2026 by sending a CV and motivation letter to our email (volunteering@ljubljanapride.org). Due to high number of applications, please in your motivation letter focus on why you would like to volunteer with us / LGBTIQ+-specific organisation. We will be inviting applicants for online interviews as the applications come. That means that if we have a group already agreed upon, we might close the applications earlier. People who apply later might be put into a waiting list. Final decision around selection will be done latest by the end of March.
