The House of Europe would like to host 1 volunteer for a 6-month project in Nîmes, a Roman city in the south of France, close to the seaside. The aim of the project is to promote European mobility and active citizenship among young people and the wider local community. A key focus of the volunteer’s mission will be animation activities, educational and language workshops, and support to Erasmus mobility projects for young people. The volunteer will work closely with the project managers and the mobility team, with a strong involvement in the following areas: 1. Animation & Educational Activities • Co-leading and facilitating workshops in schools and youth structures on topics such as European citizenship, interculturality, mobility opportunities, languages and non-formal education. 2. Support to Erasmus Internship Projects • Assisting in the recruitment and selection process of participants (interviews, communication with candidates). 3. Communication & Community Outreach
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will be hosted in a single bedroom in a shared flat of for 4 people 15min by walk to the city center of Nîmes They may occasionally travel to other cities in the framework of the project; transport will be organized and covered by the House of Europe. The volunteer will receive pocket money and food allowance according to ESC rules. 8€/day : pocket money - 9€/per day : grant Travel costs for the return trip will be covered with a grant, depending on Erasmus distance Working hours: up to 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, with Friday afternoons off
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
The volunteer will participate in the on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation organized by the French National Agency. Additional training opportunities may be available during the project depending on the volunteer’s interests and available offers. Weekly French classes adapted to the volunteer’s level will be provided at the House of Europe.
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and open-minded volunteer who: • Is interested in youth work, European mobility and intercultural learning. • Feels comfortable facilitating workshops and interacting with young audiences. • Is proactive and creative in animation activities. • Has a good level of English (basic knowledge of French is a plus). • Is flexible, communicative and able to adapt to different audiences and situations. • Is ready to take initiative, especially in language workshops and non-formal education activities. We expect the volunteer to share their enthusiasm for Europe, mobility and intercultural exchange with young people and the wider community.
