Are you an open-minded person who likes to meet students and organise activities? Are you interested in learning and informing about the EU? The purpose of the office is to involve and inform the public about the EU and European topics. The office takes a proactive role in the organisation of events, creation of communication tools, school visits and different ways to reach and inform the public. The volunteer’s main aim is to reach out to youths in the area, to inform them about the EU and its possibilities of going abroad through studies, work, volunteering, youth exchanges, etc. The volunteer visits secondary and upper secondary schools by themselves, with the other volunteers or with the Europe Direct employee and hold presentations about the EU but also about their own experiences with volunteering and how it works. They also support the office by coming up with creative ways of reaching youths, like podcast, games and interactive activities.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will share a centrally located apartment with two other volunteers. It has a private bedroom for each person and a shared kitchen, bathroom and living room. The apartment is equipped with Wi-fi and a TV. The project lasts 12 months and the volunteer will have two holiday days off each month, in addition to the Swedish bank holidays. The volunteer gets monthly pocket money and food allowance to buy and cook his/her own food. Åmål is a small town where everything is within walking distance and the volunteer will get a bike to use as well.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
The volunteer will participate in an on-arrival training and a mid-term training in Stockholm held by the National Agency in Sweden and meet volunteers from other Swedish projects. Possibilities to partake in digital trainings via Salto Youth might also be an option.
Profil udeleženca
FOR EU/EES COUNTRIES. We are looking for an independent volunteer with a desire to learn more about the EU and can easily cooperate with other volunteers. Further, we look for a volunteer with a curiosity in having their own projects and initiatives in using new ways of reaching young people, as well as informing about international movement and different EU topics. We are also looking for a volunteer who is interested in social media as well as communication.
