Beschrijving
The volunteer will be part of our team in Korneuburg and has various opportunities to be active and involved. The volunteer will support social welfare activities such as the second-hand boutique, thrift store and social initiatives.
Main Work:
* Health and Social Services (Meals on Wheels, support by assembly of Hospital Beds, installation of Home Emergency Call Systems)
* Second-hand boutique (Henry Laden): Tasks include sales, shop decoration, warehouse management, marketing.
More options:
* Youth Groups: Depending on individual interests, participation is possible one or more times per week.
* Senior Citizens’ Group: Once a month, Senior Café, get in touch, play games and talk with the elderly
The volunteer will work with experienced staff and volunteers and get to know the activities of the Austrian Red Cross.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteer will be accommodated directly at the district branch in Korneuburg with a furnished room, access to kitchen facilities, fitness room and washing opportunities. Korneuburg has good public transport connections to Vienna and surrounding areas.
Wat leer je?
Depending on existing language skills, there is the option for an external language course.
Further training opportunities include:
• First Aid Course (16-hours, offered only in German)
• Austrian Red Cross Online Welcome Course (3 hours, offered only in German)
• Optional Red Cross courses on structure, values and activities
