Opis
ESC project in Italy hosted by Associazione BIR, a local volunteering organisation based in Milan. The proposed activity will include: ● support in sport activities for marginalised people and people with special needs in daily center and outdoor ● participation in activities with local groups of volunteers (local volunteering, fundraising events, community events, etc.) ● meeting with mentor (every month) and supervisor (every 3 months) ● participation in the Online Language Course (or IRL Italian Course when organised) ● optional and if possible: run own projects, depending on interest and background and in accordance with the hosting organisation
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
Accomodation in an ESC apartament with a shared room (max 2 people per room, same gender) Food allowance of 170€ per month + pocket money of 180€ per month Transportation card for the whole duration of the project Possibility to have a local SIM card and a bike
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
Welcoming Training by BIR Italian Language Course (12 lessons) Mentoring session every 2 months Training Session by BIR every 3 months Specific Training "on the job" by the activity Supervisor On Arrival Training held by the Italian National Agency in Rome 2-3 months after the arrival Mid Term Evaluation Training held by the Italian National Agency in Rome 7-8 months after the arrival
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for motivated young people who are interested in social issues and eager to contribute to an inclusive community. Participants should be open-minded, responsible, and willing to learn, cooperate, and engage with people from different backgrounds. A strong interest in working with people with disabilities is essential. Previous experience in this field is welcome but not required; genuine motivation, empathy, patience, and a willingness to support others are the most important qualities. The project is open and accessible to young people with fewer opportunities. We particularly encourage applications from participants who may face social, economic, geographical, educational, cultural, health-related, or other barriers. Appropriate support will be provided according to individual needs.
