Kaunas L'Arche Community is a welcoming, faith-inspired community where people with intellectual disabilities and those who support them build meaningful relationships based on friendship, mutual respect, and shared life. Our community brings together compassion, spirituality, and professionalism through a range of services, including a Day Centre, Social Workshop, Living Home, and Supported Decision-Making Department. At the heart of L'Arche is a simple belief: every person has unique gifts and inherent dignity. Our mission is to create a place where people with and without disabilities live, grow, and thrive together, discovering each other's strengths and enriching the world through authentic relationships. We believe that everyone has something valuable to contribute, and that true community is built by embracing the uniqueness of every individual.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
• Accommodation in a private room in a shared apartment
• Monthly public transportation pass
• Monthly food allowance and pocket money (€280 per month)
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
• Monthly volunteer group meetings
• Monthly one-to-one meetings with a mentor
• On-arrival and mid-term training sessions
• Access to online language learning
• Opportunities to participate in public solidarity events
• Opportunities to organize and promote solidarity awareness events
Profil udeleženca
We are looking for a volunteer who has:
• A genuine interest in meeting new people, building meaningful relationships, and embracing the richness of human diversity
• Openness to communicating with and accepting people with different backgrounds and abilities
• Goodwill, a positive attitude, and motivation to collaborate as part of a team
• Patience, a sense of responsibility, or a willingness to develop these qualities
• Openness to community life and shared experiences
