Cur síos

A Volunteer Nature Ranger helps protect nature and the environment in Triglav National Park (TNP) by supporting park staff through observation, awareness-raising, and practical conservation work. The role does not involve official enforcement. Main activities: monitoring plants, animals, and habitats; reporting pollution, poaching, damaged infrastructure, and other environmental issues; raising visitors' awareness of nature conservation; maintaining hiking trails, restoring dry stone walls, cleaning natural areas, and other fieldwork, mapping invasive alien plant species and assisting with their removal; cooperating with TNP staff in conservation activities etc. Activities will depend on weather conditions and the needs of TNP in that specific moment. Under favourable weather conditions, most activities will take place in the field. In the event of bad weather, activities will be adapted and carried out indoors, focusing mainly on training and educational sessions.
