Volunteering in a Kindergarten in Pécs, Hungary

Pécs-Normandia LIONS Club

Pécsi Evangélikus Egyházközség

Pécs, Madžarska

Opis

In this activity the volunteers help in the Blue Elephant Kindergarten's (Pécs, Hungary) everyday activities in a german language focused group.

In the Kindergarten the aim is developing a complex personality, which is key in this age to be able to become openminded, responsible, tolerant adults. Including ESC volunteers to this work, gives possiblity to get experience about other cultures and to accept the differencies. The children learn it by a spontaneous way, in a non-formal educational process. The volunteers bring new colour and intercultural sight to the life of the association.

The volunteers support the teachers in their work and help with day-to-day tasks. Together with the staff, they look after the children, play with them, sing, paint, do crafts, put on plays and take part in other activities. The young volunteers help to organise and run special events – such as seasonal celebrations, open days, etc.
