Food For Life APS is a Social Promotion Association founded in Turin in 2016. Founded as a solidarity initiative to help vulnerable individuals through food, the association began collaborating with the Municipality of Turin in 2017 to support the homeless. Since 2018, we have expanded our operations to several Italian cities, including Genoa and Savona. Beyond tackling poverty and food insecurity by promoting human dignity, Food For Life APS aims to encourage healthy habits that protect the environment and support individual and collective physical and mental well-being. Volunteers be involved in: Land care, gardening, and caring for/milking the cows at the Ecofarm; Producing pastry products in the internal laboratory; supporting the distribution of meals to the homeless; assisting with catering activities and receiving guests and groups; oportunities to participate in meditation, Bhakti Yoga..

Activities take place between Giovo Ligure (accommodation) and Pontinvrea (operational site), located in the hinterland of the Province of Savona.This is a rural setting, ideal for those seeking a deep connection with nature and a sustainable lifestyle. Rooms are single or double with shared bathrooms. This is a project involving a Hare Krishna community, therefore smoking, consuming any type of alcohol, or introducing non-vegetarian food is strictly prohibited. Two meals per day are provided at the farm. The European Union covers the costs of travel expenses, food, accomodation, health insurance and a daily pocket money of 6 euros.

We are looking for motivated young people who respect environmental values and the community's philosophy. Someone who accepts the Hare Krishna principles and is spiritual, with a simple lifestyle, a vegetarian diet, and no alcohol are required. While previous experience is not required, a willingness to learn and a desire to live in a rural community setting are essential.
