Join an amazing 180-day volunteering journey in Zanzibar, Tanzania! As a volunteer, you will work across and rotate through different departments of the Assalam Community Foundation, gaining diverse experience in education, sustainability, humanitarian work, and community engagement. You will have the opportunity to assist teachers in classrooms, take part in organic farming activities, support vulnerable families, manage social media, and help organise events, workshops and more.

Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
- Accommodation is provided in safe and peaceful environment within the eco-village. Electricity and Wi-Fi is provided where available. You will share bathroom with hot and cold water available.
- Meals are provided according to the programme arrangements, and volunteer is encouraged to participate in community life and contribute to maintaining shared spaces.
- Travel costs will be reimbursed up to the program guidlines.
- Visa and vaccinations are fully covered.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
Volunteer works alongside local staff. Tasks vary depending on community needs, weather conditions, and ongoing projects. Guidance on community rules, trainings and supervision are provided throughout the placement.
- Volunteer also takes part in reflections and YouthPass competences recognition.
- Swahili Language Classes.
Dalībnieka profils
Eligibility: Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
