Volunteers will work on the renovation and preparation of a former Mafia-confiscated villa, which is being transformed into an International Youth Centre with a hostel. Tasks will include maintaining green areas (cleaning, cutting and watering), painting rooms and windows, assembling furniture such as beds and wardrobes, and completing finishing touches. Volunteers will also help prepare the building and rooms for the Grand Opening of the Youth Centre: they will support logistics, welcome guests, take photos and create social media content. Work will take place in morning and afternoon shifts, up to 7 hours per day, 5 days per week. Some tasks may be physically demanding, and professional construction workers will be on site to guide volunteers and complete specialised work.

All the volunteers will be accommodated in the villa in rooms equipped with camp beds. Each room will be shared by 3 or 4 volunteers. There will be different toilet and shower rooms available. Running water and electricity are available. The heating system in the villa is under construction but should be available during the camp time. Volunteers will be responsible for cleaning their room and common spaces. Food will be provided by external catering. Vegetarian and vegan options can be available.
IMPORTANT! Volunteers should be aware of very basic condition and willing to live as such!

High motivation is required due to the manual work. Volunteers must be aware that some of the areas where the work is required can be dusty and dirty. Safety clothes (gloves and helmet) will be provided when needed. Volunteers are required to bring their own working clothes and strong shoes.
IMPORTANT! Volunteers should be aware and willing to adapt to basic living conditions.
