Communication volunteering in a centre of people with disabilities

Opis činnosti

Amicos.org is a non-profit entity which aim is to provide service and support to people with intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy, brain damage and their familities, so they are included and supported in the society. We develop volunteering local programs since its beginning, contribuiting to boost the presence of our work in the local community. The organisation offers the opportunity to a volunteer able to speak SPANISH who is willing to support technical staff in our centre in: Creation and sharing contents on Social Networks; Preparation of audiovisual materials taking part in the association; Support in the daily activities of the Communication & Fundraising department.

Ubytovanie, strava a doprava

Amicos offer an apartment with all required services for comfortable living in a single room. The apartment shall be shared with flatmates depending on the arrival of other volunteers simultaneously. The centre supplies with daily meal service from Monday to Friday at lunch time. Besides, volunteers will receive pocket money for their own expenses. We also provide daily transportation from the apartment to the school, and back, on the routinary van journeys that the centre provides to users.

Odborná príprava počas činnosti

Amicos staff is integrated by experienced specialists who will provide insights on Communication and Fundraising, besides in learning methodologies for support and assistance of people with disabilities. We will provide a “Welcoming Training” to introduce our work standards, the tutor, school methodology and facilities...The Spanish National Agency will be responsible of the On Arrival Training and the Mid-term Evaluations. Besides, volunteers will have online Spanish lessons by registering in the Online Linguistics Support platform (OLS).

Profil účastníka

We are looking for a volunteer who is proactive, commited and able to speak SPANISH. No previous experience required. If you have knowledge in Adobe and Canva would be an asset. If you are available for 4 months and interested in applying, please send your CV and a Motivation Letter to esc@amicos.org indicating the title of the project in the subject.
