Beskrivning av organisationen

CirkusKus aspires to spread the art of contemporary circus in Slovakia by showcasing the art form in the variety of styles new circus has to offer, recognizing and helping new talents grow and making the benefits of practicing circus disciplines known and accessible to all the people in Slovakia.

CirKusKus’s main activities are:
Weekly circus courses for children and adults;
teaching circus workshops in schools and at events;
performing at events and festivals in Slovakia and abroad;
hosting ""Slovak Artists Community"" meetings and administration of the “Slovak Artists Community” platform -a platform for (circus)artists in Bratislava for sharing ideas, organizing meetings and finding inspiration;
Organizing the ""World Circus Day"" festival/convention, featuring circus performances and workshops from prominent Slovak artists, as well as starring foreign guests.

Organisationen tar emot volontärer som av olika skäl har svårare att delta i olika aktiviteter. Det gäller följande kategorier och projekt:
