Beskrivning av organisationen

Sariyer is one of the most important districts of İstanbul with its physical location, environmental, historical and cultural richness.
The Municipality of Sariyer has been governing this district with a local approach, which prioritizes the preservation of human welfare and environment and engages everyone, starting from citizens, for management and prosperity of the town.
As the institutional mission, the aim is to facilitate a contributing local management and prosperity to make Sariyer and modern town with its 2000 employees, Sariyer Education and Youth Centers, Coordination Center for the Disabled, the Municipality of Sariyer Coordination Center for Womens' Efforts (SAKEM) and directorates. Thanks to the town council, which we established, the civil society and mukhtarship unit and womens' neighborhood assembly, we realize democracy in the most effective way for governing the town.
We supported citizens, civil society institutions, mukhtars, universities, young people, employers and governmental institutions to see themselves as actors, who add value to our town, and we are realizing projects and applications within this scope. As the requirement of a contributing, effective, productive and transparent local management approach, we are collaborating with Universities, civil society institutions, professional organizations and private sector.

are the areas, in which we perform active studies.
-Several projects are realized for physical, environmental, economic, social and cultural development of Sariyer and to increase its urban life quality, including consideration of contribution to quartering, health, education and social life as fundamental rights, providing more rights, supporting and encouraging the welfare of the disabled, elderly, children and women in particular, creating studies that would realize all rights for everyone all the time and developing policies for social groups with a Disadvantage. We promotes all human rights at local level and also at international level. We try to integrate all human rights principles in EU cooperation activities aiming at strengthening our impact with especially EU projects. Some of these projects are;
• The European Voluntary Service Program, which supports the voluntariness conscience and active citizenship since 2012
• Erasmus Plus - Structured Dialogue: Dialogue Program Between The Youth And Decision-Makers 'I'm Building My Career With The Collaboration Of Local Government And The University' Project of 2016
• Erasmus+ Program Adult Education Personnel Mobility Activity “Development of Adult Education Staff in Local Governments” in 2016
• The Child-Friendly Local Initiative Project of 2013, which aims to realize children's rights in Sariyer within the scope of the Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education Grant Scheme
• The project named "The Schools are On Track for Democratization" in Sariyer, which provides the revival of school councils to increase contribution of children in schools
• In the context of Strengthening Civil Participation at the Local Level Grant Program, in partnership with Kilyos (Kumköy) the Association of Natural Environment Protection and Environmental Culture Development "To Protect Sand Lily in Sarıyer" project carried out successfully.
• In 2011, with funding from the EU Civil Society Dialogue-II Agriculture and Fisheries Grant Program "Local Steps Towards the Implementation of the EU Marketing Standards" fishing project was implemented and completed successfully April 2012.
• 1.1 Call for project of Youth in Action of the National Agency, with the Institute for European Initiative in Bulgaria, "Local Government European Youth" (The Young People of Europe in the Local Authority) project was took place.
• With a grant from the Consulate General of Sweden in 2011 "Sarıyer County Women's Council - Women's Decision Making Project was completed successfully.
• Under the call for Turkish-Swedish Development Cooperation Strategy of Consulate General of Sweden –Istanbul, in partnership with the City Council Sarıyer, Project in Support of Women Entrepreneurs in Sarıyer villages was launched.
• With the support of Consulate General of Sweden in 2012, Women Entrepreneurs in Agriculture Support Project was implemented.
