Lahti City Youth Services provide services to Lahti residents, mainly young people aged 10 to 29, in various surroundings. Regional youth work provides services for young people's leisure time in youth houses and in their neighbours, as well as school youth work, inclusion and civic activities, shopping center youth work and multicultural work. Employment and special services includes youth employment and coaching services, a, Outreach youth work, youth psychosocial support unit and cross-sectional co-operation to implement the Youth Guarantee.

The youth services staff consists of 100 youth workers, social workers and health care professionals. Youth services organize regional services in many different ways and environments. Youth houses and spaces offer activities for 10–20-year-olds and +16 activities for young adults, events for families and youth advocacy groups are developing activities in their neighbours. School youth work is carried out in all Lahti upper secondary schools, and in addition, the area's youth workers co-operate systematically with upper secondary schools and primary schools. The area also offers events on weekends, holidays and theme weeks.

Employment and special services provide activities in youth employment and coaching services for 17-29 year olds in a workshop environment, Outreach youth work and psychosocial support for 17-25 year olds in Lahti.

Lahti Youth Services has been organizing youth workshops since 1988. The content, quantity and quality of activities are developed on a long-term basis to meet the changing needs of youth. Youth in employment and coaching services need support with their education and employment path and daily management. An education and work pathway is developed with each participant.

Outreach youth work works with youth who have fallen or are in danger of falling outside services. They help to access services that benefit them and to gain reinforcement in managing their own daily lives. The work is done with individual and group activities.

Psychosocial support is about supporting young people in different life situations so methods of individual work and small group activities are used.
