Cool'eurs du Monde is a youth, international solidarity and non-formal education association. Cool'eurs du Monde was created in 1998 on the initiative of a group of young people from Bassens with the aim of carrying out an international solidarity project in Senegal. From the outset, the aim of this project was to create links between international actions and local dynamics, and to encourage the participation and commitment of young people within a project.
The association's objective is to give everyone the means to build their future and find their place in an inclusive society through openness to the world, increasing awareness and the development of critical thinking.
To achieve its objectives, our association works in three areas:
- support for young people's projects in the field of international solidarity
- education for citizenship and international solidarity (ECIS)
- training of young people and youth actors on the topics of ECIS.
Volunteer activities are at the crossroads of these three axes.
Our field of action extends to the whole of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. It tries to reach out to all kinds of young people, including young people who encounter obstacles to mobility.
Governance is ensured by a board of directors that meets three times a year to define the main orientations. Six employees make up the permanent team.
