CrescerSer - Associação Portuguesa para os Direitos dos Menores e da Família (APDMF)is a Private Social Solidarity National Institution, funded in 1986. The main goals of the institution are: - Promote and provide support and services from the community to children, young people and their families; - Promote specialized training in the areas of protection, care and supervision, technical issues related to children and youth at risk. To achieve those goals, APDMF runs 6 foster homes for children and young people between 0 and 18 years old. Children and young people fostered in APDMF are victims of maltreatments inflicted by their families (ex: negligence; physical, emotional and sexual abuses; moral-legal/educational maltreatments; drug/alcohol addiction), deprived of an healthy family environment; without birth registration; with serious mental health problems and/or with infectious diseases. *Casa do Parque (Oeiras) - foster home for 14 kids between 0 and 12 years old *Casa da Encosta (Cascais) - foster home for 12 kids between 0 and 12 years old *Casa da Cedofeita (Porto) - foster home for 10 kids between 0 and 10 years old *Casa do Vale (Porto) - foster home for 13 boys between 12 and 25 years *Casa do Canto (Ansião) - foster home for 23 youngsters between 12 and 18 years old. *Casa do Infantado (Loures) - foster home for 12 kids between 0 and 12 years old
