INTRAS is a non-profit organisation working in the field of mental health. INTRAS manages 24 centers and services to fulfill its mission: to accompany people with mental health issues in the recovery of their life projects. These facilities include training centers for young people with special needs, psychosocial rehabilitation centers, residences, day-care centers and supervised flats networks.

Overall, INTRAS Foundation strives to improve the quality of life of people at risk of social exclusion and contribute to the progress and development of society in implementing these actions. To achieve these goals, INTRAS performs the following activities:
- Programs of psychosocial rehabilitation and social integration for people at risk of social exclusion.
- Training programs for youth with mental health problems, learning difficulties, behavioural disordes and/or at risk of social exclusion.
- Projects with other European countries to promote the development of professionals' and service users' skills.
- Cooperation projects with Latin American countries such as Chile or Cuba.
- Research, technological development and innovation.

INTRAS has a network of housing resources that provide a comfortable place for people with mental health issue, offering both 24-hour care services for people living in residencial houses and different levels of supervision and on-call number for people living in supervised flats.
In Burgos and Toro INTRAS runs two Residential Centers, where respectively 35 and 42 people with mental health issues are hosted.
In the Residences, in addition to the acommodation/care services, a wide range of activities are offered from cultural activities to social, sports, leisure and free time initiatives. A team of psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, art therapists and other relevant professionals support service users in their recovery process, boosting their personal autonomy, helping them to cope with their daily difficulties and promoting their social rehabitiation and integration in the community.

In Toro, beside the Residential Center, INTRAS runs also a Day Care Center (341 service users in 2020). The Day Care Center provides users with training, ocupational and leisure activities with the main aim to promote their social inclusion and participation, while promoting the improvement of a variety of competences and skills which can smooth their way to employment. The same kind of service is also offered in the Day Care Centers of Madrid (43 service users in 2020) and Valladolid (122 service users in 2020).

Beside the Day Care Center and a wide network of supervised flats, in Valladolid, the headquarter of the organization is based. The Projects Department is actively involved in the development of innovative solutions to support young and adult people with mental health issues or other vulnerabilities, throught raising awareness campaigns, researches and investigations as well as through the production of capacity building materials to improve the service offered to people with mental health issues.
During the last years, INTRAS has been broadening the horizon of the target groups it works with. Since 2018, INTRAS has been managing a project for the care of homeless people with mental health issues in the city of Valladolid together with the Social Action Area of Valladolid City Council.
The aim of the programme is to offer recovery opportunities to homeless people suffering from mental illness, a double condition that makes them even more vulnerable. Since January 2021, INTRAS manages the Valladolid municipal centre for homeless people which pursue the same objective.

Finally, in Zamora, INTRAS runs a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Center (CRPS), a Labor Rehabilitation Center and a Cultural Association. Through these facilities INTRAS offers specialized and intensive therapeutic intervention for people with mental health issues and their families, but also inclusive activites to foster community cohesion and partipation.
In the CRPS, people with mental health issues are accompanyeid in their recovery process by providing strategies for managing psychological distress, coping with problematic situations, developing self-knowledge and preventing future relapses. In 2020, it offered care to 86 users, a figure that encompasses new patients and those already admitted in previous years.
The Labor Rehabilitation Center, on the other hand, promotes the recovery, as well as the acquisition and/or enhancement of the knowledge, habits and skills necessary to promote the social and labor integration of people with mental health issues.
Finally, the Cultural Association "Peromato" aims to encourage the participation of ordinary people in activities to foster social inclusion of people at risk or in a situation of social exclusion.
