Beskrivelse af organisationen

The Reformed Church-owned Halacska Kindergarten was established in 1998 in Törley ter in Budafok. We occupy the children in different groups, in a total of 245 children. The children are divided into 10 groups. Out of the 24 children, 1 is special needs, thus having diversity within the group.
We have two different kindergarten buildings:
There are 21 kindergarten teachers and 14 other staff members in the two buildings (Törley tér) and here is another building (Budapest, Bartók Béla u. 4) which was established in 2008. In the main building, there are 175 children and in Bartok Bela ut there are 70 children. We would like to host volunteers on both locations.
Activities: singing, swimming, reading, outside activities etc. The work contributes to a feeling of personal accomplishment as well as building specific skills of the children. The Halacska kindergarten is remarkable for its good and Christian education.
There are also leisure time activities: music, art, drama, excursions to partner congregations.
General activities in the kindergarten:
- sponsoring kindergarten
- pedagogical education,
- creative workshops
- swimming, visiting the theater
- groups for parents, visiting parents.
- once week worship with the pastor from the local congregation.
The kindergarten has a good relationship with the coordinating organisation, MRSZ Foundation - Önkentes Diakoniai Ev Programiroda (ÖDE). All volunteers came through ÖDE to our kindergarten in the past and we would like to continue this collaboration. They are a member of a bigger voluntary service network: the Ecumenical Diaconal Year Network (EDYN).
