AMICOS, Association for the Care and Integration of People with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, Paralysis or Brain Damage and Their Families.
We are a non-profit entity, founded in 2010, whose mission is to provide service and support to ensure that every person with intellectual disability, autism, cerebral palsy-damage and their families can develop their life project, with the aim of achieving their inclusion as a full citizen in a just and supportive society.
Its founding purposes include promoting actions, supports and resources that facilitate the training and labour integration of people with intellectual disabilities, autism, cerebral palsy-damage, promoting volunteering, both nationally and Europeanly, in order to promote teamwork and solidarity, and to spread the culture of European unity, in order to create ties that bring us closer to the different European cultures and the different problems and realities of people with disabilities throughout Europe. For this purpose he develops pedagogical activities, psychomotority and rehabilitation, occupational workshops, social inclusion activities through leisure and sport, music therapy... through its structure in 4 areas: Education (under 21 years), People (over 21 years), Enterprises (job training and job inclusion), and Transformation (innovation projects, mainly associated to environmental concern, environment protection and care).
We have been participating in Erasmus+ projects since 2017.
