Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bulgaria Association is a non-governmental organization registered in the public benefit since May 2006. The Association is the official representative of Big Brothers Big Sisters International in Bulgaria and adheres to its international quality standards for providing professional mentoring services to disadvantaged children and young people. The organization is part of a global network of 18 countries implementing mentoring as a tool for social inclusion and youth empowerment.

Mission:
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bulgaria supports children and young people in Bulgaria to actively participate in their own personal growth as citizens and to contribute to the overall development of society.

Main Objectives:
-To promote the values of volunteering and encourage responsible and active citizenship among young people
-To expand the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programme across the country, reaching a larger number of disadvantaged children and young people
-To support individuals and organizations in strengthening their capacity to work with and through volunteering

Direct Target Groups:
-Children and young people in disadvantaged situations, including those from families with low socio-economic background
-Children and young people living in social institutions or alternative care
-Young people from small and/or isolated communities
-Young people aged 13–30 (students, workers, NEETs)
-Youth workers, mentors, and young community activists
