Green Cross Society is the independent, non-governmental organization, which was founded in 1994 and officially registered in March 1995.
Main mission of the Society is to educate people and to bring them up as an interested in the development of their country. Society will reach this aim by being engaged into the practical activities in:
• Ecology;
• Sport-tourism, eco-tourism, tourism with disabled people;
• Studying and preservation of places of historical and cultural interest;
• Development of youth movement;
• Expedition activity
Our programs and interests:
• Work with volunteers;-
• Creating and providing the cycle of lectures "ecodecade"- in cooperation with foreign NGO's;
• Organization of summer eco-schools for children (Ukrainian-Polish etc.)
• Program "Women and ecology";
• Program "Ecology education and integration of disabled children in society";
• Program "Sustainable ecologically-orientated development of territories"
• Program "Ecology problems in centers of ancient cities"
• Tourism and alternative communication programs for children with disabilities;
• Students exchange programs (Ukraine-Poland-Germany)
Structure and number of members.
Green Cross Society is a non-governmental organization. Council of members is a high governmental body; It gathers once for two years. High executive body of organization is Society Council that is elected for two years in a common meeting. Council elects Head and his deputy. Council session is once for a month. Now, organization consists of 24 members. Society has structural departments in different activity branches.
