A Palestinian NGO established in 2011 focusing on sports for development (S4D) working in Palestine (West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza) PS4L’s mission is to reach out to the Palestinian community using Sports as a tool to develop them on a personal and professional level, to enrich their lives and give them the opportunity to go out and pursue their careers and goals they have dreamt of locally and internationally.
PS4L responds to developmental needs in the marginalized Palestinian communities through sports and life skills, operating in global context through aligning its developmental activities to the UN-SDGS, by implementing the following programs: Health and well being, Education, Gender Equality and Human Rights. PS4L programs tackle disempowerment of women and girls, young people, and people with disabilities, re-engaging people in education and vocational training, reducing truancy and violence.
PS4L has local and international partnerships, implements football and basketball for life programs focusing on the above themes for the communities, building the capacity of teachers and trainers in the sports for development approach, curriculum development, and technical support.
